Il Cammino di San Benedetto
The path of San Benedetto winds for 310 kilometers. From Norcia, to the foothills of the Sibillini Mountains, to Subiaco, in the upper valley of the Aniene, up to Cassino, in the Liri valley, crossing the most significant places in the life of St. Benedict of Norcia. The Way consists of 16 stages that can be traveled on foot or by bicycle through paths, carriage roads and low-traffic roads, along valleys and mountains of the splendid Umbria and Lazio.
It extends for 310 km divided into 16 daily stages on paths, carriage roads and secondary roads. The stages are designed on the basis of the distances (average length of about 20 km) of unevenness and accommodation possibilities.
The bike route is 340 km. and mostly follows the Way on foot, moving away only in some places. It can be divided into 7 daily stages.
